I have concluded I am the world's loneliest BLOGGER. I have dozens of websites with absolutely no followers. If I set up a forum, it only attracts the TROLLS! That's NOT better than nothing - Ha! I may be lonely but I am not happy being Troll bait. Rather be lonely.
It wasn't always like this. I have produced many newsletters. Long before the internet existed. All for clubs and hobby groups. Most prestigious was the long period I was editor for the Boardman (Ohio) Rotary Club weekly printed newsletter. The newsletter always took state honors for design and content.
This was the era before internet publications. Off to the print shop every week.
I always drifted to doing the publication duties for all the clubs and organization to which I was involved. Many times leading to top level office. The secret is documented communications. Every group with activity needs a scribe to preserve the history and tell their story.
That's why I still do that today. Even when I am a group of one. Just recording my activity and thoughts. More like a personal diary these days.
I assume these posts will all vaporize after I am gone. No one paying the bills for the internet servers. What I figure is I think about that now, but in the here-after it will not matter at all.
My old printed newsletters are all gone. I do believe I may have sample copies of a few in a file folder somewhere. I remember doing that long ago. An example of my work. But a lot of water has flowed over the dam, and there are too many places to search. Just a memory is OK.
It is what it is, so I just keep pluggin' away. It gives me something to do as I experiment with all the different software involved with blogging and internet based publications. I have grown with it through its full development and I think has become a harmless addiction. I am harming no-one. It keeps the cobwebs out of my brain.
