The last TEDEX was a PHPBB bulletin board. Severely hacked by nefarious demons from the BlackNet underworld. Those critters are so bored with their conditions, they have nothing better to do but poke into real human creations.

No way for a mere mortal like me to clean it out. Just locked the door and made it entirely disappear. I do have a little magic of my own. Nothing tangible lost as the BBS was just an experimental playground for me. Mostly giving away .STL files for 3D printing.

No real plans for this new TEDEX. The name TEDEX is the short version of "Tippecanoe Electronic Data Exchange". So this website is all about posting information (Data) by electronic means (websites) to share (exchange) with visitors. Blogs (and the old BBS) usually allow comments, so there can be a two way as well as a one way exchange.

Unfortunately the WWW has become a wicked wild west (U.S.Slang) lawless playground, There are rules. There are always rules. But rules only work for those who desire to follow. Enough said.

TEDEX and its Administrator will honor "good practice" and our intent is to share (publish) interesting and personal content and have fun in the process. Honestly, being a #1 blog is not the plan. No intent to take advantage of any visitor (if any) personal information.

The WordPress Content Management System (CMS) will gather and store some none-personal user information especially if the visitor leaves a comment. WordPress may also place a "cookie" in the visitor's browser. This is "normal". More information is available. The World Wide Web (WWW) Internet itself tracks traffic activity as its "Modus Operandi" "Method of Operation" since day one. Not the specific data sent but routing and IP addresses.

TEDEX can't fix the hackers and crackers. Not our job. We put up the defenses as provided by and included in the data systems used. Best we can do. TEDEX is just an open blog and data source freely available to visitors.
